ANHAM FZCO Chairman and CEO Mr. Abul Huda Farouki Participates in Clinton Global Initiative's 2010 Annual Meeting

VIENNA, VA - For the sixth consecutive year, Mr. Abul Huda Farouki, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ANHAM FZCO ( www.anham.com ) participated in the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) ( www.clintonglobalinitiative.org ). Founded in 2005 by former President Clinton as a means to convene world and business leaders in a mobilization effort to address world issues, CGI's 2010 Annual Meeting was held September 21-23 in New York City. The main focus highlighted by President Clinton was to analyze global challenges, discuss the most effective solutions, and build lasting partnerships that enable them to create positive social change.
Mr. Farouki participated in working sessions designed to make new connections and share insights and ideas while implementing commitments to action in areas including "Strengthening Market-Based Solutions", "Enhancing Access to Modern Technology" and "Harnessing Human Potential".
In an interview during the 3 day conference, Mr. Farouki stated, "It is important for meetings like this to take place so that we can discuss the most pressing areas of economic and social concern and also be able to work towards positive global solutions."
The CGI Annual Meeting provides an innovative gathering for heads of state, business leaders, and nonprofit directors from all over the world. The members of CGI have helped to impact more than 200 million lives in over 150 countries with commitments valued at more than $46 billion. To achieve these pro-active partnerships and help focus the discussions, CGI establishes Plenary and Breakout Sessions, Action Networks, Topic Dinners, and private meeting spaces. These creative approaches matched with a set of specific Action Areas help to inspire the participants to trade ideas, share best practice information, and explore potential partnerships.
