History and Timeline

ANHAM FZCO was formed in 2004 through the convergence of three highly respected, world-wide investment and trade contracting groups with 80 years of combined successful experience: the Arab Supply and Trading Company ("ASTRA"), a Saudi Arabian conglomerate and contractor; HII-Finance, Corporation, a U.S. based investment group and international trade organization; and GMS Holdings (a principal founder of the Munir Sukhtian Group), a Jordanian holding company for a group of diversified businesses.

ANHAM anticipated, given the recent state of the international political landscape, that the changing environment in South and Central Asia, Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) regions would demand a unique collaboration of western and local businesses to adequately assess and address the significant risks involved. Applying the considerable business acumen of its principals, ANHAM succeeded in developing a business approach based on a unique application of successful western management techniques and economic principles tempered by local customs, conditions and the needs of local personnel. Applying this successful formula, ANHAM has continually grown and expanded its business operations to over 20 countries.

ANHAM and its collaborating partners have made a lasting impact across the globe. From the development of innovative business concepts to redefining a new approach to local partnerships, ANHAM and its affiliates have been leaders in business development throughout regions in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and South and Central Asia.
